Portland Business & Food Photography | Mother’s Bistro
I’m a definite fan of food photography, and when that’s a part of the mission while I’m doing photography for local businesses, I’m even happier to be doing the job. When I worked with Mother’s Bistro on promotional photos, our focus was on highlighting their dinner service–Mother’s has already established itself as a well-known brunch spot in downtown Portland, but not as many Portlanders know that they also have equally-enjoyable options for dinner. We also wanted to catch some of the homey charm of the space, so I dropped back in later in the day, to capture their dining area experience while it was filled with actual patrons enjoying a meal.
Owner and head chef Lisa Schroeder created and plated all of the tasty-looking concoctions I photographed herself, and as we did a quick review of the images together, she furrowed her brow and asked me, “does it look delicious?” Admittedly, I am a huge foodie, but I also wanted to eat each and every dish she placed in front of my camera that afternoon… so I think that counts as a definite YES.
